Planning your journey to our China Flow Retreat in the stunning Wuyishan mountains? Getting from Fuzhou Changle International Airport (福州长乐国际机场) to the secluded Futures Resort (福雀来 FUTURES) is easier than you might think — but it does require some preparation. In this guide, we walk you through every step of the journey, with two route options to suit your travel style.
📍 Origin: Fuzhou Changle International Airport (福州长乐国际机场)
📍 Destination: Futures Resort (福雀来 FUTURES), Wuyishan, Fujian — 27.809° N, 117.948° E
📏 Distance: ~250 km (155 mi) northwest through Fujian Province
You have two options: a direct road transfer A (the simplest) or a high-speed train + taxi combination B (the fastest). We recommend the direct transfer for everybody who’s arriving on the 10th. We will arrange the shared (mini) bus and shared taxis 😉
🚐 OPTION A — SHARED TAXI (RECOMMENDED)
One vehicle, zero transfers, maximum comfort. We’ll organise shared taxi(vans) for flowmies. You only need to get in the taxi and get out at the resort!
Transport: Pre-arranged minibus taxi • Driving time: 3h 45min – 4h 20min • Distance: ~340 km (211 mi) via expressway • Door-to-door: 4.5 – 5 hours
🗺️ 完整行车路线 — 选项 A
The direct road from Fuzhou Airport to Futures Resort: 3h 44min via expressway (211 mi) or 4h 19min via alternate route (247 mi). Through Fuzhou → Nanping → Jian’ou → Wuyishan, finishing on scenic mountain roads.
步骤1 — 抵达福州机场
抵达福州长乐国际机场后,允许 30–45分钟 办理入境手续、领取行李、过海关。该机场有两个航站楼:T1 航站楼用于国内航班,T2 航站楼用于国际抵达航班。

💡 Tip: Pick up a local SIM card from one of the airport convenience stores. Having mobile data makes the rest of your trip much smoother — WeChat (and Alipay) are essential in rural China.
Step 2 — The Drive to Futures Resort

4. Expressway Exit → Futures Resort (15–20 min) — After exiting near Yangzhuang Town (洋庄), the final stretch is on winding mountain roads through bamboo forests and terraced tea gardens. Beautiful — but bring motion sickness remedies if you’re sensitive.

The high-speed train covers ~300 km in about 1h 20min – 1h 40min, heading north through Fujian Province via Nanping and Jian’ou. The route follows the Hefei–Fuzhou high-speed railway (合福高铁).
Leg 3 — Taxi: Wuyishan North Station → Futures Resort (福雀来 FUTURES)

Tell the driver: “福雀来 FUTURES” (Fúquèlái FUTURES). The route heads west on the Ningshang Expressway before winding through mountain roads. The last 10–15 minutes pass through bamboo groves and tea gardens.
