The China Flow Retreat is located in Jiangxi Village (江西村), nestled in the stunning Wuyi Mountains of Fujian Province. Getting there is easier than you might think — here are your three options, from simplest to most adventurous.
✈️ Easiest: Fly to Wuyishan Airport → 30-minute taxi
✈️ Option 2: Fly to Fuzhou Airport → drive or train + taxi (4–5 hours)
✈️ Option 3: Fly to Shanghai → high-speed train + taxi (6–7 hours)
✈️ EASIEST OPTION — FLY TO WUYISHAN AIRPORT
This is by far the simplest and fastest way to reach the retreat. Wuyishan Airport (WUS / 武夷山机场) is a small domestic airport with direct flights from major Chinese cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Xiamen, and Guangzhou.
From the airport, it’s just a ~30-minute taxi ride through scenic countryside to Jiangxi Village. No trains, no transfers — just one short, beautiful drive. 🏔️
The Route: Wuyishan Airport → Jiangxi Village
📍 Distance: ~18 km (11 miles)
⏱️ Duration: ~25–30 minutes
💰 Taxi cost: ¥60–80 (~€8–10)
How to get your taxi:
- Exit the arrivals hall — taxi drivers wait right outside
- Show the driver this address: 江西村, 武夷山市 (Jiangxi Village, Wuyishan City)

- Enjoy the scenic drive through tea plantations and bamboo forests 🌿

🏔️ WHAT TO EXPECT
The drive from Wuyishan Airport takes you along winding mountain roads through some of Fujian’s most beautiful scenery. You’ll pass through tea plantations, cross small bridges, and see the dramatic karst peaks of the Wuyi Mountains in the distance.
The road is paved and well-maintained. Your driver will drop you right at the resort!
✈️ OPTION 2 — FLY TO FUZHOU AIRPORT
Fuzhou Changle International Airport (FOC) is a major airport with many international connections. From here, you have two options to reach the retreat:
Option A — (Shared) Taxi/Minivan
🚗 ~4 hours, scenic mountain highway. We’ll organise shared taxi(vans) for flowmies. You only need to get in the taxi and get out at the resort!
💰 ¥600–1,200 for a private car. Much cheaper shared.
Option B — Train + Taxi
🚕 Taxi to Fuzhou South Station (30 min)
🚄 High-speed train to Wuyishan North (1.5 hrs)
🚕 Taxi to the village (45 min)
💰 Total ~¥300–400
✈️ OPTION 3 — FLY TO SHANGHAI
Shanghai Hongqiao or Pudong Airport — the most international arrival point. Great if you want to explore Shanghai before or after the retreat!
The Journey:
- 🚕 Taxi/metro to Shanghai Hongqiao Station
- 🚄 High-speed train to Wuyishan North (~4 hours, ¥400–600)
- 🚕 Taxi to Jiangxi Village (~45 min, ¥80–100)
⏱️ Total travel time: ~6–7 hours
💰 Total cost: ~¥600–800
The retreat takes place outside the Jiangxi Village (江西村) which sits at the heart of the Wuyi Mountains UNESCO World Heritage Site — surrounded by bamboo forests, tea gardens, and crystal-clear streams. It’s the perfect setting to disconnect, practice, and restore. 🌿
